RUPTURE is a collective of performance artists collectively engaging in and sharing community practices of resistance, revelry, and tactical rest. Instigated by five BlaQ waymakers jose e. abad, Styles Alexander, Gabriele Christian, Clarissa Rivera Dyas, and Stephanie Hewett; RUPTURE positions the improvisatory nature of Black life, experimentation, and movement as techniques for future crafting.
